21 DAY ITINERARY
(this is a general outline, not an exact
schedule of events)
Each day involves group meetings
about personal reflection, discussions of group/personal issues,
problems, personal success and trip itinerary.
Theme for first
week:
Team work, support group, responsibility.
Evening Group Discussions
Day 1 - Introduction
Meet kids, rules, respect, trust & Communication
Day 2 - Group initiatives
Trust, teamwork, communication, student roles
High Ropes Course & how did the group work together?
Trust, communication, patience & support
Day 3-9 - Hike
Check in with students; what’s happening over the
next few days; plan for tomorrow.

week:
Personal challenge, communication, accepting orders and
accomplishment.
Day 10 - Teams Course Trust
Teamwork, communication, fear and success;
student roles; how did group work together?
Duos (students spend night camping in teams of two)
Day 11 - Hike
Change, home and family
Day 12 - Solo
(each student spends 36 hours camping alone)
Day 13 - Solo
Question: What changes do you want to make?
Theme for Week
Three:
Team work, control, and accountability.
If the group is ready, the students take over leadership of
the trip at this point. The instructors’ role is to
oversee safety, while the group must problem-solve, communicate
and function as a
team. Failure or dysfunction is left for the group to solve.
Day 14 - Hike

accepting orders, communication
Day 16 - Raft / Rock Climb
